Jamie + Tim

"When a dog runs at you, whistle for him." -Henry David Thoreau

Inadvertently, several dog photos were captured the weekend we took engagement photos. I just now weeded through them so I could share them. There are some gems.
Also, I never got my State Fair photos up and there are a few okay ones there too, as well as two nice shots of my parents. So cute!
Enjoy,

Peanut. Such a ham!

The ever-cute little Peanut.

Dad's bird dog Schotzie "treed" something. Note that her ear is on backward.

This one has dogs in it... technically.

I was enjoying playing with the slow shutter speed for blurred motion.
Kinda neat.

This little fella was on the ride in the photo above this one all by himself.
It made me a little nervous...

The Oak Ridge Boys. Boe told me several times that he wishes his beard would grow straight so that he could have a beard like this guy's.
I don't think I would oppose...

Living the Good Life

Hi all,
Below are our photos from Nebraska. I miss having Boe only an hour and a half away. That was pretty nice. I think I liked the proximity to everything best when we lived in Henry, Neb., and the jobs were wonderful and the scenery was so pretty. Wyoming beat Nebraska in looks, and our current house beats all, but it stinks that we are five hours or more away from everyone. Oh well, can't have it all, I suppose!
Enjoy!

I was first exposed to tumbleweeds in Nebraska. If a pickup is parked for too long, it disappears completely! Not really, but almost...

The ugly ol' App, but what a big heart he has.

Is it any wonder I love him so much? So handsome!

Me and a CSC friend's Hanging Tree Cattle dog at a branding.

In front of Snake Creek.

Chavez! I believe he was three in this photo.

Me on Two Socks watching the train.

Boe is the little dot in the top right corner. It's a good thing yearlings are so easily persuaded, because I was all alone back there. 'Cephus believes in baptism by fire...

We buried a company pickup in a snow drift checking cows one night. Oopsies!

One of Boe's favorite photos.

Garcia Half Moon San Juaquin. I love this bit. And this photo.

The puppies, Old Blue and the Dally Lama.

One of my favorite photos of all time.

Head in the clouds, literally

Hi all,
It was nearly this time last year, well the end of October, that Boe and Dally returned from Nevada. Oh, happy day! I was just thinking of our life on Laramie Peak in Wyoming. It was such beautiful territory up there, and although the cows were mostly white ol' charolais, there were great photo opportunities. (Can you tell that I am missing my fiancé and dogs right now?)
Below is what I would have blogged if I had been blogging when we lived in Wyoming.
Every morning we would look out the window, thinking it's foggy out. The fog would look distinctly like clouds-because they were. It was pretty neat, really.
I'll have to share our life in Nebraska next. For now, here's our life viewed from 9,000 feet up.

Little Dally Lynn. She's such a happy girl!

Buck Walker manned the tractor. Boe, the fourwheeler and gates.

The man of the house and the dog of the house.

So happy. And hairy.

There were mule deer and white tails everywhere! If we didn't see any at least once a day then we didn't leave the house or look out the windows that day.

Our yard was a series of obstacles for the poor deer. Some chose to actually go under fences. Antelope are known to do that, however, lopers aren't too common up there.

When I would pass Governor's rock on my way up there, I knew I was getting close to home. Boe told me the significance of it one time, but he was pretty vague and didn't know the specifics either. Some day we'll know what it's all about.
